Wincanton Racecourse
Wincanton is a lovely country racecourse just inside Somerset's border with Wiltshire. Those travelling in cars have to negotiate the troublesome A303, but once that has been completed they are usually in store for a great day.
Similar in layout to Huntingdon, the course is mainly flat and attracts good horses not only from the West Country powerhouses but also from all areas in the country.
The Badger Ales Trophy and the Totesport Elite Hurdle bolster a strong card in November, whilst the Axminster Kingwell Hurdle in February has attracted many a good hurdler on their way to the Champion Hurdle.
