Perth Racecourse
The overall quality of Perth's racing is of no great shakes but Perth is similar in a number of ways to Cartmel in that it is a picturesque country course that uses its allotted openings in the fixture list to the full.
Britain's most northerly track has a sprinkling of days through the summer but it comes alive for its three-day April festival. Plenty of southern yards make the trip northwards to enjoy some good racing and the end-of-term feel that the meeting offers.
