Southwell Racecourse
Of the three all-weather courses (Lingfield and Wolverhampton are the other two) most trainers will tell you that Southwell has the best track layout. However, it has fallen a little behind both those venues because it is now the only one not to have the favoured Polytrack surface.
That said, it has very recently had some money spent on it, and it will be interesting to see how a relayed fibresand surface will race.
Southwell does also cater for national hunt racing, but its eight jumping fixtures are swamped by its flat commitment.
