Chepstow Racecourse
Although a dual-purpose course, Chepstow is better known for its National Hunt programme, especially the Coral Welsh National, which is the handicap highlight of the entire Christmas schedule in Britain.
A big sweeping course with a long undulating straight, Chepstow has always been a venue for jumps diehards - not least because it always seems to offer up genuine 'jumping weather', especially for its annual showpiece!

Course - Flat:
An oval track about two miles in extent with a straight of a mile. The round course contains significant undulations and there is quite a change in gradient up the straight.
Course - Jump:
The undulating track is left-handed and nearly two miles round. The ground can be very testing in the winter when stamina is the main forte a horse needs. There is a long home straight of five furlongs.
By Road:
The racecourse is on the A466, Chepstow to Monmouth road not far from the Severn Bridge, and can be reached by exiting the M48 at junction 22. Free parking is available.
By Rail:
To Chepstow. A bus service between the station and the racecourse is in operation on race days.
By Air:
A helicopter landing facility is available by prior arrangement.
