Travelling to Ripon is best done by car as the town has no train station and the nearest major city - York - is over 20 miles away.
The traditional racecourse has an eye on its past and a number of race titles celebrating its history not least the Great St Wilfrid Handicap (named after Ripon's patron saint).

Course: Sharp, undulating right-handed oval track with a five furlong run-in. There is also a straight six furlong course.
By Road: The racecourse is situated two miles south of the centre of the town on the B6265, off the A1. Free parking is available.
By Rail: To Harrogate or York, then take a bus to the centre of Ripon.
By Air: Helicopter landing at the course by prior arrangement only.
