Ascot Racecourse is delighted to announce that Royal Ascot will return to its Berkshire home in 2006. The Royal Meeting will run from Tuesday 20th to Saturday 24th June 2006. The official opening will take place on the first day of the Royal Meeting.
Car Parks open at 9.30am. Gates open at 10.30am. For guests in hospitality areas, lunch is served from 12.00pm. On Tuesday, 20th June, the Royal Procession will take place at 1.45pm, followed by the official opening ceremony at 1.50pm in the Parade Ring. On all other days, the Royal Procession will take place at 2.00pm. Racing commences on all days at 2.30pm. Last race 5.30pm. Singing around the bandstand at 6.00pm.

Course - Flat:
Right-handed triangular circuit with a steady rise on the turn into the short home straight. There is a straight course of a mile which is testing in nature.
Course - Jump:
A right-handed track, around a mile-and-three-quarters round. The circuit is a galloping one with stiff fences and an uphill finish, which places a premium on stamina from the home turn. There is also a downhill run to Swinley Bottom.
By Road: The racecourse lies to the west of the town on the A329, and is easily accessible from the M3 (junction 3) or the M4 (junction 6). The car park adjoins the racecourse and Ascot Heath.
By Rail: Regular services run from Waterloo to Ascot station, which is located less than a mile from the racecourse.
By Air: London Heathrow is approximately 15 miles away. A helicopter landing facility is provided by prior arrangement.
