Player Profile 26th September
Today I have been invited to watch the gameplay of Paul, he is 29 and seems to have an excellent way of playing
based as he says "on Years of playing roulette".
He tells me he has been a roulette player since the age of 21 when he first visited a casino to celebrate his 21st,
he took a shine to roulette and is now a regular player via FOBT's, landbased casinos and internet casinos.
He tells me to be successful you need to have strict money management skills as well as a strong will, and have
the ability to stop playing when and if you reach your goal when playing, he goes on to mention how he has watched literally hundreds of people
"lose the lot" when playing roulette, this he states is due to them having no self control.
Before he starts a session he tells me he sets himself a goal for that day which today is simply to double his "float" his float for today is 70,
but he says he is felexible and doubling his money perfect, but he is prepared to accept "a few quid either way".
He starts off by betting 50p chips, there is no set pattern, he just places them here and there across the play field, in the hope one will hit, he isnt betting
huge amounts simply 3 - 5 at a time, he goes on to tell me he has tried several betting systems, but these are tiresome and boring he states, and if you are goingg to
win you will if not you wont!
His balance fluctuates over the next 30 minutes he has only inserted 40 so he is getting his monies worth. He manages to get a bank of 86, not by any miracle just it
seems by hitting a few winning numbers, he decides enough is enough and cashes out his winnings, a profit of 46.
"That'll do" he says and we grab a coffee, but he tells me to wait for a bit and watch some of the others playing, and look for as he calls it "chip madness" this he says is when people
lose their self control and start placing chips across the board frantically, as if this was to be their last few games ever, and sure enough we watch a few people losing amounts from 50 - 200
in record time.
He says "tell your readers the hardest part of playing a betting terminal is knowing when to stop playing and press the collect button, as soon as you manage to master that part you should
actually start to enjoy playing the machines, also get them to ask themselves how many times they have said to themselves after a gambling session, if only i'd have stopped when I was winning,
learn to cash out when you're winning, its hard but that is the key to a winning session".
Seems like good advice to me.
