Playtech launches mobile gaming platform
Playtech, one of the biggest online gambling software providers, has just launched a new mobile gaming platform for the thousands of players who already use its online games. Catching up with other operators, it is now promising a wealth of games available to play on the go.
Mobile Web Apps allows players to gamble as much as they like wherever they are. There is no need to download any software, they simply download the app once to their mobile device and then they’re free to play as much as they want. This could well prove to be the future of online gambling as mobile smartphones become increasingly common.
To make the transition from Web site to mobile platform even easier, players will also be able to use the same account details that they use for online play so they won’t need two accounts. Playtech has also confirmed that Mobile Web Apps will be available on both iPhones and smartphones running on Android.
About 12 of its top games are currently available, including blackjack, video poker, and the popular Gold Rally slot. It also has three games for Java apps, including Keno and Pop Bingo. Due to Playtech’s recent deal with Sportech, it is thought that the mobile platform could also feature sports betting in the near future.
