Players win £750,000 from William Hill in one month

William Hill has announced that it paid out £750,000 in jackpot prizes in the last month from its online progressive jackpot games. The winning streak on its Vegas website has amazed the company, and prizes have ranged from £20,000 to £188,000.

Astonishingly, one lucky player took home £260,000 from two different games, Alice's Wonderland and Gold Rush Showdown. The news is even more surprising given that only £500,000 had been won previously this year. A spokesperson for the company, Lili Huang, confirmed that it was “way above everyone’s expectations”.

William Hill stated that a new breed of ‘thrill-seeking gamers’ have made the progressive jackpot games so popular. Although only launched last year, the games have already proved a huge attraction, partly because the jackpots offer life-changing money to the lucky winners.

Some of the jackpots of the games can go up rapidly, adding to their appeal. William Hill highlighted two of their games, Gold Rush Showdown and Pharaoh’s Treasure, saying the jackpots can go up by £10,000 in a few days, adding to their popularity.
