Isildur1 stays away from Big Game IV
Mystery poker player Isildur1 kept his identity a secret for a little bit longer after he pulled out of the Big Game IV tournament that was run by PartyPoker.com. His place had been paid for by Tony G, who was also set to pay for his accommodation and expenses, but the mysterious Swede was not quite ready to reveal who he is.
The world of poker was thrilled for a few days when it was revealed that he would be in attendance at his first live Texas Hold'em event. But in the end he sent a very short text message to Tony G to explain that he would not be in attendance after all, as announced by Tony G on his blog.
Tong G claimed that all had been going well, but then agents had got involved and it had fallen through. There are various reasons being thrown around as to why Isildur1 refused to come, but the truth is that no one really knows and we’ll just have to wait a little bit longer to find out who he is.
Despite Isildur1’s failure to turn up, the 48-hour poker marathon held at Les Ambassadeurs Club in London from April 11-13 has proved to be a great event. At the time of writing it has gone over the allotted 48 hours, and some great poker action has taken place with names such as Luke Schwartz, Neil Channing, Tony G, and Dusty Schmidt keeping things interesting.
