888 tops the league of most visible poker sites
888 has shot up the rankings to become the most visible poker brand in the UK in terms of Google searches. Greenlight carried out the research for EGRmagazine.com, which involved numerous poker-related searches on the search giant. 888 proved that it had firmly established itself at the top of the list appearing in 44% of searches.
It was a different story for PartyPoker, however, which has plummeted down to 11th place in the rankings, only appearing in 18% of searches. This was despite appearing in 49% of searches made in April, the same as 888.
PKR made the biggest leap, jumping from ninth position to second with a score of 39%. And OnlinePoker66.com has provided the biggest surprise, coming out of nowhere to reach third place.
The research also revealed that poker makes up more searches than both online casino and bingo markets, with 825,000 poker-related searches in June. The single word ‘poker’ made up 39% of searches and ‘online poker’ was the second most popular at 8%. Google is responsible for a massive 90% of searches made in UK, and the position a company achieves in its results pages is crucial for its success.
