888 Casino has been voted the most visible online casino Web site in the UK. This result has been decided upon based on the frequency with which online casinos appear on the first page of Google UK for casino-related searches.

Google is the overwhelming market leader in the UK when it comes to search engines, with 90 percent of all searches made through the company. The research was carried out by Greenlight research company, which found that 888 Casino was the only online casino to appear on the first page of over half of the searches made using a selection of different terms.

Greenlight carried out a total of 421,000 searches on Google UK. Of these searches, 32 percent used the single word ‘casino,’ 18 percent used ‘online casino,’ 4 percent used ‘online slots,’ 4 percent used ‘casino games,’ and 3 percent used ‘internet casino.’

A spokesman for Greenlight said that although 888 Casino only appeared on the first page for two of the search terms, ‘casino’ and ‘online casino,’ these were by far the “highest volume-driving terms.” 888 also got the top position for both terms, providing a huge boost to its traffic levels. Other online casinos that performed well were Spin Palace and William Hill Casino, appearing in 41 percent and 38 percent of searches respectively.
