Best Gambling Locations - Vegas, Monaco, Macao

Most of us have not been afforded the opportunity of visiting the most prestigious land casinos in the world. One of the reasons why this privilege has been enjoyed by a precious few of us is that these fabulous casino/hotels are located in often far-off parts of the world. If there were just a certain locale where the best gambling locations were situated, then that would be a different story. However, the best casinos are located in the following areas: Las Vegas, Nevada; Macao in Asia; and Monte Carlo, Monaco. These three areas contain the most glamorous and breathtaking environments in which you can escape to a land of Xanadu in an unforgettable setting. Let’s look at these three best gambling locations and recommend to you a couple of casinos that are a must to visit.


Las Vegas: This town was developed by the gangster, Moe Green, back in the 1940’s as a stopover for the U.S. Army troops as they made their way to the Pacific Coast of the U.S.A. The idea came about because gambling had always been part and parcel of the armed forces’ recreational activities. So, Green thought that gambling would attract the troops to the town built in the desert. Little did Green realise that, in a little over 60 years, the town that he developed would become the greatest gambling location in the world. The hotel/casinos line both sides of the street in Vegas that is simply referred to as “the strip.” On the strip, you can find the most incredible casino/hotels in the world, with dining, entertainment, and accommodations to match. Some of my favourites in Vegas are:

MGM Grand: There are 5,034 rooms in this incredible casino. The entertainment is world-class, and so are the accommodations. Their Roulette wheels are phenomenal.

Bellagio: About a half mile from the MGM Grand, the Bellagio stands out with its Italian architecture as the central theme of the décor. The Craps tables at this casino are always buzzing with excitement.

Mandalay Bay: The setting sends a calmness and sereneness to everyone who stays at this fabulous hotel. The casino is always busy, and is renowned for its 24-7 Keno games.


Macao: The Vegas of the East as it is referred to, Macao presents the finest of Eastern culture and hospitality in its casino/hotels. There has been a recent burst of tourism to the area, as casinos such as the Sands and those from the Wynn chain of casinos have brought a universal touch to the land casino trade.

Wynn Casino: Any casino featuring the boss’ name better be good, and the Wynn Casino exceeds all expectations in dining, entertainment and in casino action.

Venetian Macao Casino: This casino brings all the glitz and glamour straight from the “strip” to the fabulous Macao setting.


Monaco: Monaco is an independent island located between the foothills of the Alps to the Mediterranean Sea. It is a French-speaking land, although Italian and English are spoken also. It has one of the great seashores in the world, and it is a land where the rich and famous are known to frolic.

Monte Carlo Casino: The most breathtaking casino in the world is located in Monaco, and it has been the world’s premier casino since it was built in 1878. The casino parlour consists of a succession of rooms with stained glass windows, amazing decorative sculptures, paintings and a dazzling array of bronze lamps. There is a dress code of jacket and tie for men, and the Monte Carlo Casino is the best of the best casinos in the world.
